The numbers

So why does it feel like everyone gets paid off your work except you?

Here is the uncomfortable maths. At most brands, up to half of every commission you write disappears into a logo you will never own. Year after year, deal after deal.

Freedom runs the other way around. The franchise fee is ten per cent. That is the whole number, and nothing hides behind it.

Then there is the part almost nobody in Australian real estate offers. At Freedom you get paid for growing the business, not only for selling inside it.

One per cent of any agent you introduce, for the entire time they stay at Freedom. Ten per cent of any agent you coach. That is income that keeps arriving in months where you do not list a single property.

Plenty of brands promise you leads. Leads do not build a career. Infrastructure does.

Run your own business without having to do every job in it.

Most good agents are choosing between two things. Stay where you are and keep handing over a slice of everything you write. Or go out on your own and become your own marketer, bookkeeper and IT department overnight.

Freedom is the third option. You run your own business and head office runs everything that is not selling. Independent, but never alone.

There is one more piece worth knowing, and most agents are never told it. Freedom agents operate on a franchise agreement, which means what you build is a business you can eventually sell. Most agents spend twenty years building something that ends the day they stop.

If the words franchise agreement made you tense up, that is fair, so here is the plain version. It exists for three reasons. It gives what you build a resale value, which a normal salary or a normal split never does. It lets people inside your team progress into their own business without leaving. And it strips out the cost and risk of setting one up yourself. It is there to protect what you build, not to tie you to a desk.

The path

When you are ready you become your own agent, with coaching and mentors around you instead of a desk and good luck.

After that there is no ceiling. Build a team, earn from coaching and introducing other agents, or open your own Freedom office.
